The story of Christmas is the story of a God who isn’t content to be far from his people. Jesus’ arrival set a definition of God’s character for all time. A god who needs correct behavior, or correct thinking in order to be approached is a god who stays at a distance. But, a god who comes to his creation is less concerned with needing something from his creation and more interested in giving something to his creation. In this Advent series we are looking at the first eighteen verses of John one to look at the God who comes.
